On Monday August 27th, Montgomery, Alabama tuned into 96.1 FM at 4:20pm to the sounds of a musical montage of some of the greatest hits from the 60's , 70's , the 80's and maybe a few of the early 90's there too..at 5pm Montgomery said goodbye to 8 year old Alice 96.1 and hello to the brand new Q 96.1.

Q 96.1 is filling a much needed void in montgoery radio since Cool 104.3 was turned into an urban gospel station back in late september 2003.

i'm very excited to have this new station, and to be there in the studio at 5pm when it launched.

so tell your friend, tell your family, tell everyone about the all new Q96.1
